Los Arboles Literacy & Technology Academy's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Los Arboles Literacy & Technology Academy's PTO is very active. Our current PTO president is Roselia Lobato. The PTO is so much more than fundraising for school events, classroom supplies, and teacher appreciation. We are working to provide a sense of community and family involvement within the school. When you are involved, your child is involved and feels pride, ownership, participation, and community in his or her school. Stress the importance of education and community by joining the PTO and participating in events throughout the year. It is our goal to enhance the educational experience at Los Arboles Literacy & Technology Academy in any way we can. We thank you for being involved and helping to make all of this possible.

If you would like to become a member, please visit the front office and the Principal will be in contact with you. PTO membership opportunities are available at the beginning of the school year.

Los Arboles Literacy & Technology Academy's Monthly Coffee with the Principal

Los Arboles Literacy & Technology Academy hosts monthly parent meetings on the second Wednesday of the month from 8:10am and 9:10am. We want to make time for our parents and this is the perfect opportunity to hear school updates and meet with school administration. Each month, the school administration may include guest speakers or certain topics of discussion. Engage with us! We want to hear from you.

Los Arboles Literacy & Technology Academy's Site Council

The School Site Council is a decision-making body made up of parents, community representatives, and school staff members. The School Site Council's primary responsibility is to oversee the funds the school receives under the School Improvement Program (SIP) act. The funds are designed to improve student performance as measured by standardized tests, the District's State & Federal Program, and classroom performance. The Council meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 7:15am to 8:00am. To become a part of the School Site Council, please submit your ballot to the front office. The ballot information is made available to all parents at the start of the school year.

Los Arboles Literacy & Technology Academy's Volunteer Program

Helping in the classroom or around the school is a great way to stay involved and support our Los Arboles Literacy & Technology Academy community. To volunteer in the classroom, please contact your student's teacher so a schedule can be arranged. The teacher will need to add your name in the volunteer log so your visit will be expected by the front office. To volunteer around the school, please contact the front office. Here are just a few ideas of the kind of roles we need on a regular basis:

  • Field Trip Chaperones

  • Event Planning

  • Classroom Assistant

  • Fundraising
