For the week of February 25th through March 1st, Los Arboles will celebrate Read Across America Week. The week will focus on celebrating reading! Teachers will promote literacy in their classroom through read alouds and various activities. Our Read Across America committee has created a list of activities to occur during this week.

Thursday, February 28th – Making Words: Students will create a letter on their shirt using masking tape. Classes will join other classes to create as many words as possible with their bodies and shirt.

Throughout the week, various guest speakers will be coming to read to the students in their classrooms. Additionally, students will be partnered with a buddy class. Their teachers will coordinate a time to have 2nd and 3rd grade students read to TK, Kinder and 1st grade students.
