About Me
Mrs. Pons is a Kindergarten Inclusion General Education teacher who has been working at Franklin-McKinley School District for more than ten years. This is her 5th year teaching at Los Arboles. Originally from the Canary Islands, Spain, Mrs. Pons has a Master's degree in English and Spanish Philology (literacy history, criticism, and linguistics) from the university of Granada, Spain, one of the oldest universities in Europe. Mrs. Pons taught English to adults for many years in Spain, in the Official School of Languages, a national and public language institute with schools all over the country. Mrs. Pons moved to Northern California with her husband, who is a software engineer, and her two boys in 2007 and has been living here since. She now also has a girl and they're all growing fast! Mrs. Pons enjoys photography, reading, and swimming in the Atlantic Ocean when she goes back home to her beautiful islands in the summer.
