Special Olympics is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences. This year, we participated in the Young Athlete program and Unified Sports.
During the 6-7 weeks of practice, our students learned a variety of sport skills that included T-ball, basketball dribbling/passing, soccer shooting/kicking, hopping, etc. Along the way, they also learned about teamwork, showed empathy towards each other, and demonstrated positive sportsmanship.
A huge thank you to Special Olympics for their continued support and dedication towards our students. We hope that we can continue to expand the program next year. Stay tuned!
