Los Arboles had a wonderful back to school night. Families were able to visit their students’ classroom and see what great work has been occurring in each room. Parents were informed about the curriculum and programs available to each student. Teachers were able to meet and greet attending parents and begin developing great lines of communication with them.

Many community resource tables were made available to the visiting families. These include: San Jose Public library, Foothill Community Health Center, Uplift Family Services, Franklin McKinley School District’s Student Wellness and Support Services, and SIREN (Services, Immigrant Rights and Education Network).

We also gracious welcomed FMSD board member, Maimona Afzal Berta and assistant superintendent, Jason Vann.

Lastly, grade level teams were able to kick off their fundraising initiatives by providing pizza, drinks, and Kona Ice food truck. Overall it was a great evening! To see photos from the event, please click here.
